Welcome to Sparklee by Jenny, a little business built from my love of glitter, sparkle, creativity, and making people feel absolutely fabulous.

I've always believed that life is more fun with a little extra shimmer, and I love helping others embrace their own unique style and add a touch of whimsy to their everyday look.

Sparklee by Jenny is just the beginning! I'm starting small with hair tinsel and working toward expanding into hair styling, braiding, and even more ways to help you sparkle.

Whether you want a subtle glimmer or enough sparkle to turn heads, I'm here to make your appointment fun, welcoming, and uniquely YOU.

What to expect

Appointments typically range from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on your desired level of sparkle, as well as your hair's length and thickness.

When you arrive, we'll start with a quick consultation to chat about your vision, choose your sparkle, and make sure we're on the same page about your look. Then, we'll get right to the fun part... making you sparkle!

Frequently asked

How long does hair tinsel last?
Hair tinsel can last anywhere from a few days to several weeks, depending on your hair type, washing routine, brushing, styling, and how well you care for it. Some strands may last longer than others.
Can I wash my hair normally?
Yes! You can wash your hair normally with your usual shampoo and conditioner. Be gentle around the areas where the tinsel is attached, and avoid aggressively scrubbing or pulling on the strands.
Can I brush my hair?
Absolutely! You can brush your hair with tinsel installed. We recommend brushing gently and starting from the ends of your hair, working your way upward. Be mindful around the attachment points to help your tinsel last as long as possible.
Can I use heat tools?
Yes! Your tinsel is heat-resistant up to 350°F when used properly. Always keep your heat tools at or below 350°F and avoid holding a hot tool directly against the tinsel for an extended period. Excessive or concentrated heat can cause tinsel to shrink, melt, curl, or become damaged.
Will tinsel damage my hair?
When properly installed and cared for, hair tinsel is designed to be a lightweight cosmetic addition to your hair. However, pulling, tugging, excessive brushing, improper removal, or misuse of heat tools can cause damage to the tinsel or your natural hair. If you experience discomfort, pulling, or irritation, please let Jennifer know immediately.
How many strands should I get?
That depends entirely on the look you're going for! Want just a subtle sparkle? A few strands can add a beautiful little glimmer. Want to SPARKLE OUT LOUD? You can add more strands for a brighter, more noticeable look. During your consultation, Jennifer can help you choose the amount that works best for your hair, desired look, length, and thickness.
How long does an appointment take?

We'll start with a quick consultation when you arrive so we can discuss your vision, choose your colors, and make sure we're creating the look you want.
Can children get hair tinsel?
Yes! Children can enjoy hair tinsel with parent or legal guardian consent. For younger clients, Jennifer may recommend a smaller number of strands depending on their hair, age, and ability to comfortably sit through the service. A parent or legal guardian must provide the required consent before the service is performed.
What happens if a strand falls out?
Don't panic! It's completely normal for individual strands to loosen or fall out over time. Hair goes through daily washing, brushing, sleeping, and styling, so individual strands may not all have the same lifespan. If you lose a strand shortly after your appointment, reach out to Jennifer so she can discuss your options.
Can I choose my own tinsel colors?
Absolutely! That's one of the best parts! You can choose your favorite colors, mix and match shades, or let Jennifer help you create a custom sparkle combination. Go subtle, go bold, match your hair, match your outfit, or create a whole new vibe. There are no sparkle rules here.
Can I sleep with my tinsel?
Yes! You can sleep normally with tinsel installed. For the best longevity, consider loosely tying your hair back or using a soft scrunchie to help prevent unnecessary tangling while you sleep.
Can tinsel be removed?
Yes. Tinsel can be removed when you're ready. Please don't pull or cut the tinsel out yourself, as improper removal can pull on or damage your natural hair. If you need assistance with removal, contact Jennifer.
Can I use hair products with tinsel?
Yes, you can continue using your normal hair products. Just be gentle around the attachment points and avoid excessive product buildup directly around the tinsel installation.

No sparkle question is too small — just ask.

Policies & Consent

The fine print

Deposits

Single appointments require a $10 deposit at the time of booking.

Party appointments require a $50 deposit at the time of booking.

All deposits are non-refundable.

Deposits are due at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

Your appointment is not considered confirmed until the required deposit has been received.

Late Arrivals

Please plan to arrive on time for your appointment.

If you are more than 10 minutes late and have not contacted me ahead of time, I reserve the right to cancel your appointment. Your deposit will remain non-refundable.

If you know you are running late, please reach out as soon as possible. I'll do my best to accommodate you when my schedule allows.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

All cancellations and requests to reschedule should be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

Late cancellations may result in the loss of your deposit and may require a new deposit to book another appointment.

No-Shows

A no-show is considered a missed appointment without prior communication.

After your first no-show, a $25 deposit will be required for any future appointment.

If you no-show a second time, you will no longer be eligible to book appointments with Sparklee by Jenny.

I truly value your time and appreciate you valuing mine. Your appointment is reserved specifically for you, and your deposit helps protect that time.

Heat & Safety

Your sparkle should shine safely! Hair tinsel is heat-resistant up to 350°F when used properly.

Please keep all heat-styling tools at or below 350°F when styling hair with tinsel. Avoid placing a hot tool directly on the tinsel for prolonged periods, as excessive or concentrated heat may cause the tinsel to melt, shrink, curl, or become damaged.

For the best results, use heat carefully and avoid applying unnecessary heat directly to the tinsel. Always allow heated sections to cool before handling.

Sparklee by Jenny is not responsible for damage caused by improper use of heat tools, excessive heat, or temperatures above 350°F. By receiving a tinsel service, you acknowledge and agree to follow these heat-safety guidelines.
